Adrift in the etheric ocean
Material type: ArticlePublication details: Sage 2019Description: Vol 9, Issue 3, 2019:(325-328 p.)Subject(s): Online resources: In: Dialogues in human geographySummary: In this commentary, I explore Peters and Steinberg’s use of extension, entanglement and excess as operative terms for their ‘more-than-wet’ ontology. I ask whether the elemental ocean so vividly expressed in their article is commensurable with these terms. In doing so, I suggest that elemental geographies may require further experimentation beyond analytical and grammatical description, and towards poetic, aesthetic and creative gestures that convey the force and complexity of the elements.Item type | Current library | Call number | Vol info | Status | Date due | Barcode | Item holds | |
